Role Description

As the Head of Collections, you will be responsible for leading and executing the end-to-end collections strategy for our lending products in Saudi Arabia. You will drive performance across early and late-stage collections, design efficient processes, manage collection partners, and ensure regulatory compliance, while maintaining a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall collections strategy tailored to the KSA market.
• Build and lead a high-performing in-house collections team and manage outsourced collection agencies.
• Create a scalable and segmented collections framework for different customer risk profiles.
• Own the collections life cycle: early, mid, and late-stage collections, legal recoveries, and write-offs.
• Monitor daily performance metrics and drive continuous process improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of all collections activities and communications
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve disputes and customer service issues.
• Handling and following up on Legal cases raised by the Company on Delinquent customers.
• Ensure collections practices comply with SAMA regulations and consumer protection laws.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to manage regulatory risk and audit readiness.
• Drive ethical collections practices that preserve brand reputation and customer trust.
• Track KPIs including DPD (Days Past Due), roll rates, cure rates, recovery rates, and cost of collections.
• Provide regular updates and insights to leadership on portfolio health and collections performance.
• Identify, contract, and manage third-party collection agencies and legal firms.
• Set performance benchmarks and SLAs for external partners and ensure accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in collections, credit risk, or operations—preferably in fintech, banking, or consumer lending.
• Proven leadership experience with managing large teams and external vendors.
• Deep knowledge of Saudi regulatory requirements (SAMA, consumer protection).
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
• Bilingual: Arabic and English fluency is required.
