Senior Procurement Manager

Job description

•Oversee and manage daily procurement activities, including contract review and implementation.

•Ensure optimal rates, risk mitigation and best payment terms on behalf of the organisation.

•Oversee procurement policies and procedures and ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

•Develop procurement strategies and plans and ensure compliance with company strategy.

•Monitor procurement staff performance, including training, and ensure timely completion of work.

•Negotiate purchase of equipment, goods and services in a timely, cost-effective manner.

•Maintain good relationships with vendors and negotiate to finalize processes to a high quality standard.

Skills

•Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

•15 – 20 years of experience in procurement with a reputed EPC company in High Voltage Substation, Overhead Transmission Line and Underground Cable projects in the GCC.

•Strong knowledge of logistics, purchasing, vendor & contract management, and SAP ERP (MM & PM modules).

•Strong communication, negotiation, analytical and strategic thinking skills.

•Proven ability in staff supervision, budget monitoring and cross-functional collaboration.
