SR. PRINCIPAL COMMERCIAL ADVISOR (LNG)

Job description

Primary Purpose of the Job

The Sr. Principal Commercial Advisor (LNG) looks after the commercial interests of QatarEnergy and the State of Qatar, embedded in a complex range of existing fiscal and shareholding agreements, related to non-operated LNG and pipeline gas venture assets, using effective asset management commercial processes to realize the full value of such assets.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 10 years of commercial and asset management experience within the oil and gas industry, including areas such as project economic evaluation, business development, marketing and contract management. Experience across upstream, LNG, midstream or downstream assets is preferred.
• Good knowledge in broad aspects of oil & gas business such as petroleum engineering, reservoir management, drilling, operations, project management, technical services, operations, supply chain management, and planning.
• Contract negotiation, legal drafting.
• Good analytical, influencing and communication skills.
• Experience in working within a large, preferably multicultural, international organization
• Excellent problem solving, financial, economic skills as well as ability to work in multi-cultural environment and multi-disciplinary teams.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a related discipline (such as engineering, science, business, economics) from an accredited university, preferably in engineering.
• Related postgraduate qualification (MSc. or MBA) is advantageous.
