Job description
Production ManagerLocation: Bahrain | Full-time
bMedia is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our team in Bahrain.
We’re looking for someone who can take a project from brief to delivery and keep every moving part under control — schedules, crews, locations, suppliers, budgets, equipment, permits, clients and production logistics.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is organised, proactive, well connected, calm under pressure and already familiar with the production landscape in Bahrain and ideally Saudi Arabia.
What you'll be doing
• Planning and managing commercials, corporate films, branded content and event productions
• Preparing production schedules, call sheets, budgets and shoot plans
• Coordinating crews, freelancers, talent, suppliers, equipment and locations
• Managing production budgets and keeping projects within approved costs
• Requesting quotations and negotiating with suppliers, freelancers and service providers
• Organising permits, access approvals, transportation and production logistics
• Coordinating closely with directors, producers, cinematographers, editors and the creative team
• Communicating with clients throughout the production process
• Managing shoot-day logistics and solving problems quickly on set
• Sourcing locations, crew and production resources according to project requirements
• Following up on production timelines, revisions and final deliverables
• Maintaining production documentation and project records
• Supporting productions across Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC when required
What we're looking for
• Previous experience in production management, video production, advertising, events or a related creative field
• Currently based in Bahrain and already familiar with the local production environment
• Strong knowledge of the Bahrain production market, including suppliers, freelancers, crews, locations and production services
• Existing relationships with local cinematographers, camera crews, lighting teams, sound engineers, production assistants, talent, rental houses and other production professionals are a strong advantage
• Good knowledge of filming locations across Bahrain and the ability to quickly identify suitable locations for different types of productions
• Knowledge of the Saudi Arabian production market and experience working in Saudi Arabia is highly desirable
• Familiarity with Bahrain/Saudi crews, suppliers, locations and production requirements is a major advantage
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage several projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Good understanding of professional filming and post-production workflows
• Experience managing production budgets and negotiating costs
• Confidence dealing with clients, suppliers and external partners
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay composed under pressure
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Good written and spoken English; Arabic is a strong advantage
• Driving licence is preferred
• Willingness to travel across the GCC when required
The person we're looking for
We’re looking for someone who already knows the market.
Someone who knows who to call when we suddenly need an experienced gaffer, a second camera crew, a specific location, a casting option, a specialist piece of equipment or a last-minute production solution.
You should understand how production works locally — not only on paper, but in the real world.
You should know the locations, the suppliers, the crews and the practical realities of producing in Bahrain, while ideally also having experience or connections within the Saudi production market.
You don’t need to be behind the camera, but you should understand what it takes to make a production happen.
You should be the person who notices what is missing before it becomes a problem, keeps everyone informed, and makes sure the creative team can focus on creating.
We value responsibility, initiative, resourcefulness, local knowledge and attention to detail as much as formal qualifications.
As part of bMedia’s continued commitment to developing local creative talent, Bahraini production professionals are particularly encouraged to apply.
You’ll be joining a multidisciplinary team working across film, animation, VFX, CGI, events and AI-assisted production, with projects throughout Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.
